I have been asked to relay some very sad news.
Yesterday Lyn Bone, passed away after a short illness. Lyn was Married to Terry, who we remember fondly before his passing three or four years ago. Lyn was very much the driving force behind Terry, and the pair of them did so much good work for the Club over many years.
When we managed to keep the Club alive back in 2014 - believe me both Terry and Lyn were a great help, and without them I doubt we would have been able to carry on.
Lyn will be remembered fondly by all the visitors that entered her territory in the Committee and Directors Lounge. Heaven forbid anybody who misbehaved in there - because it was be very much Lyn’s domain, and what a great job she did! Her home made cakes were legendary!
Winchester City Football Club will be for ever indebted to Lyn - may she Rest In Peace.

At my first Winchester league match in 2015 Lyn was one of the people I met. Prior to that I had only seen Winchester play a few times, with one of these being the F A Vase final where I met Terry Bone. She knew who I was, but I did not who she was. However the fact I received a good reception that day has encouraged me to continue my involvement with the club.
I think it is important that the club respects its' recently departed such as Terry and Lyn, Bill Postle, Alan Austin, Keith Johnston and others.
I also admire Lyn for the way she managed her journey to work which could not have been easy for her.
