Here it is:
It has been announced on the Hampshire Chronicle's website (and almost certainly in this week's edition) that Winchester City have announced and submitted their plans to redevelop the Charters Community Stadium, with funding coming in part from Winchester City Council and the Football Federation.
These plans, which include an artificial all-weather pitch, will provide a massive boost to community football in the area, providing a pitch not just for the first team, but for women's and grassroots teams too, offering more opportunities for recreation and physical activities. There's also the bonus that an artificial pitch withstands the weather far more than a grass one - with an artificial pitch, last Saturday's game would not have been abandoned.
In addition, such plans would also help the local economy, as more away supporters and groundhoppers would attend a match that they know isn't going to be rained or frozen off, and visit businesses in the city in the process; for example, when Winchester City hosted Dulwich Hamlet in the FA Trophy in 2016, many Dulwich fans came down early to visit the Christmas Market.
The application can be found online at Winchester City Council's planning portal under the reference 23/01704/FUL. Please leave a comment giving your support - the more support we get, the more likely it is to succeed. This is a massive opportunity to put Winchester on the football map - something that seemed unthinkable just over ten years ago.

Whilst I fully support the application, esp the pitch itself given the wide community, school etc use it will undoubtedly provide I am quite disappointed with the lack of ambition or addition to the facilities for fans, better stands etc. There doesn't seem to be any real addition merely moving the main stand closer to the pitch? I appreciate the cost involved is significant but this seems a lost opportunity given crowds are growing and many of us got very wet last week....more seating should in my view be part of this. We still appear to have far less covered stands than most, if not all, at our level.

You’re right the main stand will be moved forward but it will have another block added to it & another smaller seated stand will be put between the away dugout & corner flag bringing the seating capacity up to 300 which is a ground grading requirement to enable us to play in the Southern Premier. I believe more improvements will be made once the club have more funds but you’ll have to speak to Ken or a director who I’m sure will elaborate further.

If as many as possible could go to the comments section and support the application it will be extremely helpful. Done

I have yet to reply, but will do before the closing date of 21st August. However it is good to see 20 more positive responses since I looked it.
I think whart we want to do to get as many players from all of our teams both senior and junior, their parents and other members of their family to give their approval if they want to do it. If junior and ladies players sign it as well it demonstrates we are diverse club with an eye to the future.
One point though is the only way I seemed able to access it was to type inj the full reference code. Just typing in keywords did not seem to work.

I contacted Kinger on Facebook and asked him to pass it on to the players - I have also contacted several former players on Twitter.

That is good, but I also thought that it would be a good idea to make contact with our junior and ladies section, with the amount of players in those teams plus their parents we have a lot of potential signatures there.

I have now posted my comments in support and have tried to put points in favour that not many people would not come up with. Still think that we push hard to get as much support before the closing date, even if some people are already doing so.

To date with 4 days until the closing date I make it 82 comments in favour and 3 against, but hopefully by Monday more people will have indicted their support.

More NIMBYs are trying to sabotage us. If you haven't left your support, you need to do so ASAP.
